NH BELMONT — Belmont Zoning Board unanimously approves seasonal boat storage variance for rural lot. Acting Chairman Mark Mastenbrook led a 4-0 vote allowing Francis and Sarah Patno to store wrapped boats on their Province Road property from October through May. Town Planner Karen Santoro noted the applicants may need an updated NH DOT driveway permit.
The board determined the rural lot, constrained by substantial ledge that makes it unsuitable for residential construction, can reasonably accommodate seasonal boat storage with customers visiting by appointment only. The variance expires January 28, 2028 if not substantially acted upon.
