NH BELMONT — Zoning Board unanimously approves two residential variances in Commercial Zone. The Board granted IDH Realty, LLC. a variance to build a two-bedroom house at 121 Laconia Road, conditioned on obtaining a Conditional Use Permit from the Planning Board. In a separate case, the Board approved two variances for Route 106 Realty Trust at 54 Peggy Drive, permitting a single-family home with attached barn/garage and allowing pre-existing billboards to remain.
The Code Enforcement Officer cautioned that approving billboards with new residential construction may establish difficult precedent. All other departmental responses indicated no concerns.
