Zoning Board denies rehearing request on procedural grounds.

misc · Meeting of April 24, 2026

NH BELMONT — Zoning Board rejects rehearing request over missed deadline. The Belmont Zoning Board of Adjustment voted unanimously to deny applicant Anthony Gobbi's request for reconsideration of a February 25 decision, ruling that his April 1 filing was 35 days after the decision date, exceeding the 30-day window mandated by RSA 677:2. Gobbi's representative, Carlos Almonte, had argued the clock should start from March 3, when he received the decision paperwork, but board members and Town Planner Karen Santoro determined the statute measures from the decision date itself.

The board also unanimously elected Peter Harris as Chair and Mark Mastenbrook as Vice Chair.
